Research Project Writing and Academic Mapping
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Maharishi University of Information Technology organized a workshop on ‘Research Project Writing & Academic Mapping’ on 21st October 2022 in line with preparation for NAAC accreditation and to develop a high level of research consciousness along with academic discussions in the context of NAAC assessment. The lectures were delivered by highly learned and experienced Guest Speakers- Dr. Rajiv Manohar (Professor, Deptt. of Physics & Director-IQAC, University of Lucknow) and Dr. Nagendra Kumar Maurya (Astt Prof., Deptt. of Applied Economics & Member- IQAC, University of Lucknow). In the first session, Dr. Manohar brought out the essentials of effective research proposal writing to seek funding from external agencies. He shared his own experiences and also gave useful suggestions to hone the art of research proposal writing. He emphasized on the aspect of sustainability and societal benefit in project proposal and also sticking to the format prescribed by the particular funding agency. His lecture was highly motivating. In the second session, Dr. Maurya provided insights into the technical know-how of academic mapping in terms of CO, PO & PSOs with effective examples for various calculations. Dr. Maurya also explained the importance of Bloom’s Taxonomy in the mapping process. The Welcome Address was given by Dr. Sapan Asthana (Dean-Academics) and the vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Neeraj Jain. The workshop was attended by Deans and faculty members of all schools who also actively interacted with the speakers. The program was successfully organized and conducted by the Convener, Dr. Vijay Kumar Srivastava (Dy. Dean-Academics) under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Prof. Bhanu Pratap Singh).
