76th Republic Day Program

Organized by: Maharishi  University of Information Technology, Lucknow Campus (In Association with IQAC)

Objective: To honour and commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution, celebrate the nation’s democratic values, and inspire patriotism among students and staff through various cultural and educational activities, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow, celebrated 76th Republic Day on 26 January, 2025.

Participants: Faculty, students, and staff.

Event Details: The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem, establishing a solemn and patriotic tone for the day.

The Chief Guest, Major General A.K. Chaturvedi, AVSM, VSM, in his inspiring address, reminded everyone that Republic Day is not just a celebration but a reflection of our commitment to the nation. He emphasized India’s unity in diversity and how the country’s resilience and cultural heritage have been its strength in times of need.

Dr. Neeraj Jain, Dean Academics, welcomed the gathering and called for collective efforts towards building a more inclusive and developed India. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.P. Singh, in his keynote speech, highlighted the importance of individual responsibility in national progress. He encouraged everyone to contribute to the nation’s development in whatever capacity they can.

The event featured a heartfelt poetry recitation by Tusha (BSW IV Semester) and a patriotic song performance by Satyam (B.A. I Semester) and Aditi (B.A. IV Semester), which evoked strong patriotic emotions among the audience. Students from various schools also delivered powerful speeches reflecting their national pride.

The program was compered by Dr. Rupam Singh. Dr. Sapan Asthana, Dean Students Welfare, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty, staff, and students. The event concluded with the National Anthem. The distribution of tea and sweets created a warm and joyful atmosphere.

Students’ feedback: Students expressed that the Republic Day celebration was both inspiring and meaningful. They appreciated the Chief Guest’s motivational speech and felt a deep sense of pride during the cultural performances. Many shared that the event strengthened their patriotic spirit and reminded them of their responsibility towards the nation.

Acknowledgements: The organizers express their deep gratitude to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and Dean Academics for their able guidance and leadership, which made the successful execution of the Republic Day celebration possible. They also extend heartfelt thanks to the Senior Administrative Officer, faculty members, staff, and the IT Cell for their dedicated support and contributions.
