Free Eye & General Health Check-Up Camp 2025
(“I care my eyes”)
Date of Event: 13-14 August 2025
Organised by: Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, MUIT Lucknow Campus, with the collaboration of Devre Netra Chikitsalaya, Lucknow and in association with IQAC
Objective: The Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, MUIT Lucknow Campus in association with IQAC, organized a Free Eye & General Health Check-Up Camp-2025 on August 13-14, 2025, with the collaboration of Devre Netra Chikitsalaya, Lucknow, with the objective of providing a free facility that can be easily availed by MUIT family members in the workplace, during the prevailing season when incidence of infection is very common. The camp also served as CSR activity and also provided hands on experience of pharmacy students.
Participants: All teaching staff, non-teaching staff & students.
Event Details: The program commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp and a floral tribute to Goddess Sarasvati and His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
The health initiative was led by Dr. Sarika Bhagchandani (MBBS, MS – Eye Surgeon, Devre Netra Chikitsalaya, Lucknow) and her medical team, who provided free detailed eye examinations with trial lenses. One to one medical advice was also offered to visitors by Dr. Bhagchandani as per requirement. In addition, general health services including blood pressure, blood sugar, pulse, weight, and height measurements were offered. Visitors also received guidance on maintaining a balanced diet.
Over the course of two days, more than 350 individuals, including teaching and non-teaching staff as well as students of MUIT, availed the services. Several cases of vision defects, hypertension, and high blood sugar were identified and referred for further medical management.
The camp concluded with Valedictory Ceremony which included tips from Dr. Vikas Kumar for eye care, felicitation of guests with mementos, and felicitation of active student volunteers with appreciation certificates.
The event was successfully coordinated by MSOPS faculty- Mr. Vipin Kesharwani, Mr. Akash Singh and Mrs. Pranki Shukla who served as mentors for different responsibilities, along with student volunteers, ensuring smooth registration, and guidance throughout the camp.
Students Feedback: The feedback of the Health Check-up Camp among the students was overwhelmingly positive. The event showcased their enthusiasm, active participation, and the warm, collaborative atmosphere created during the two days.

The organizers are especially thankful to Dr. Pavan Kumar and Dr. Nidhi Srivastava- Dean and Dy Dean respectively of the Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSOPS), Dr. Vikas Kumar Shukla, Dean of Student Welfare, and Dr. Pawan Dixit Chief Proctor for their significant contributions to the smooth coordination of the event. The organizers further extend heartfelt thanks to Senior Administrative Officer Dr. Rajesh Singh, all faculty members, staff, the IT Cell and student volunteers for their dedicated efforts and efficient coordination, which played a vital role in the event’s grand success.
