Organised by: Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology

in association with TCS & IQAC

Objective: The Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology, MUIT Lucknow Campus, in association with TCS as Knowledge Partner & IQAC, successfully organized a technical workshop on Empowering NextGen Faculty with AI, Cloud & Cybersecurity Innovations. The main objective of the workshop was to equip Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) faculty members with cutting-edge knowledge in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity.

Participants: All faculty members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering actively participated in the workshop

Resource Persons: The workshop featured three eminent speakers from TCS Lucknow:

  • Mr. Abhishek Saxena – AI Consultant, TCS AI Center of Excellence, TCS Lucknow
  • Mr. Deependra Singh Chauhan – Enterprise Architect, TCS iON, TCS Lucknow
  • Mr. Vishal Munjal – Consulting Partner in Cyber Security (Delivery and Presales), TCS Lucknow

Event Details: The one-day Technical Workshop was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ajai Kumar Singh, Program Director – CE NAB NGM at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Professor of Practice at MUIT. His vision and leadership were instrumental in planning and delivering a highly enriching learning experience for the faculty members.

The first session was conducted by Mr. Abhishek Saxena, with over 16 years of experience at TCS, including a decade in the USA as a Project Manager and Scientist, Mr. Saxena brought deep insights into the field of Artificial Intelligence. His session on “Artificial Intelligence and Responsible AI” covered crucial topics such as the ethical implications of AI, bias in machine learning models, and real-world industry use-cases. He also emphasized the importance of integrating responsible AI practices into academic projects. Mr. Saxena has authored multiple research papers published in reputed platforms such as IEEE and ICDT and is a recognized member of the “National School of Leadership and Success” in the USA.

The second session was led by Mr. Deependra Singh Chauhan, focused on “Cloud Computing with DevOps Practices.” Mr. Chauhan, an expert in cloud infrastructure, software architecture, and DevOps, gave a comprehensive overview of cloud computing fundamentals, infrastructure setup, and DevOps workflows. He demonstrated the use of popular tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, and explained their roles in automating software delivery. The session also highlighted the importance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and how they can be effectively incorporated into academic and student projects.

The final session was delivered by Mr. Vishal Munjal. With extensive expertise in enterprise security, risk assessment, and compliance, Mr. Munjal’s session, titled “Cybersecurity in Modern Enterprise Environments,” covered critical topics including zero-trust architecture, endpoint protection, and data privacy strategies. He addressed current cyber threats such as ransomware, phishing, and social engineering attacks, while offering practical advice on embedding security-first principles into the engineering curriculum.

The workshop was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Suraj Singh, Mr. Om Prakash, and Mrs. Ankita Agrawal, faculty members of MUIT. Their efforts ensured the smooth execution of the entire program and active engagement of all participants throughout the day.

The enthusiastic participation of all MSOET faculty members, their thoughtful questions, and the interaction with industry experts significantly enhanced the depth and outcome of the sessions.

The workshop served as a significant step towards faculty upskilling in critical technology areas. With the active participation of TCS experts and academic leaders, it established a platform for continuous professional development, future workshops, and innovation-driven teaching at Maharishi University of Information Technology.

Feedback: The workshop received highly positive feedback from participants, who described it as interactive, informative, and aligned with current industry trends. Many expressed keen interests in follow-up certification programs, research collaborations, and future engagements with TCS experts. The initiative laid a strong foundation for industry-academia collaboration, with great potential to foster innovation and real-world application in engineering education.
