World Wildlife Day 2024 Pre-celebration

World Wildlife Day 2024 pre-celebration was organized on 2nd March 2024 with great verve and zest, by the Dept of Science of Maharishi School of Science and Humanities at the Lucknow Campus of Maharishi University of Information Technology. The World Wildlife Day is observed on 3rd March every year to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild fauna and flora.
The main highlight of the program was the enthusiastic participation of the students in various competitions like poster, essay, poetry and speech which was organised to mark the day and wherein the students expressed their thoughts about different aspects of wildlife conservation. Towards the end of the program, the winners of the competitions were announced.
In the Poster Competition- First prize was bagged by Ravi Shekhar Tripathi (B.Sc. Ag IV sem), & team of Vaibhav Pandey/ Anshul Shukla/ Himanshu Verma (M.Sc. II Zoology), Second prize won by team of Shivani/ Radha (B.Sc ZBC IV sem) and Mansi/ Snedha/ Sneha (B. Sc. Zoology II sem), Third prize by Mahi/ Anshika (M. Sc Zoology II sem). In Essay Competition - First prize was won by Ravi Shekhar Tripathi (B.Sc. Ag IV sem), Second by Nansi (B. Sc. Ag IV sem), Third by Vivek (B.Sc. Ag IV sem). In Speech Competition- First prize was won by Ravi Shekhar Tripathi (B.Sc. Ag IV sem), Second by Mansi (B. Sc Zoology II sem), and Sonam (B. Sc. Zoology II sem), Third by Ravita (M. Sc Botany II sem) & Dev Mani (B. Sc. Biotechnology II Sem). In Poetry Competition- First prize was won by Aprajita/ Kesar (M. Sc. Zoology II sem), Second by Sakshi Mishra/ Shipra Mishra (B. Sc. Biotechnology II sem) and third by Riteshwar Pandey (B.Sc ZBC IV sem). All the winners and participants will be rewarded with e-certificates.
Dr. Sapan Asthana (DSW, MUIT Lucknow Campus) spoke on the occasion and motivated the students to conserve the wildlife so as to maintain the ecosystem and natural flora and fauna of the world.
The program was attended by Dean Academics/ Dy Dean Academics; Deans/ Dy Deans, faculty members, and students of Lucknow Campus.
The program was brilliantly anchored by Ms. Shipra Mishra (B. Sc. Biotechnology, II sem) The program was successfully organized by the consolidated efforts of all the faculty members of the Dept of Science, Maharishi School of Science and Humanities of Lucknow campus under the guidance and encouragement of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. BP Singh, and Dean- Academics Lucknow Campus & Dean- MSOSH Dr. Neeraj Jain along with immense support from Jury members (Dr. Shikhar Verma, Mr. Anupam Kumar Gautam and D. Vikas Kumar Shukla), Dy Registrar Dr. Girish Chhimwal and Sr. AO Shri Rajesh Singh.
