Deeksharambh 2025 (Student Orientation Program)

Objective: The Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology, MUIT Lucknow Campus, in association with IQAC, successfully organized Deeksharambh 2025 (Student Orientation Program) to welcome the new batch of 2025 for both UG and PG programs. The primary objective of Deeksharambh was to mark the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the newly admitted students, helping them adapt to the university environment, understand its culture and values, and prepare for their future endeavors.
Participating Students: Nearly 650 newly admitted students of Diploma, UG and PG programs (B. Tech/ BCA/ M. Tech/ MCA) attended the event.
Event Details: The Deeksharambh 2025 at Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow, unfolded with great enthusiasm, energy, and warm celebrations. The MUIT Auditorium, beautifully decorated for the occasion, was filled with excitement as faculty, and students gathered to welcome the new batch of UG and PG students, marking the beginning of their academic journey.
The event was conducted in two sessions, the morning session for Diploma, B. Tech, and M. Tech students and the afternoon session for BCA and MCA students. Around 650 students along with their parents attended the programme, which was held in the Auditorium and Seminar Room of the campus.
The morning session, from 08:30 AM to 12:30 PM, was held for the Diploma, B. Tech and M. Tech students. Anchors Mr. Daljeet Pal Singh (Assistant Professor) and Mrs. Pooja Shukla (Assistant Professor) hosted the event. The event commenced with registration, document verification, and the distribution of welcome kits. Following this, Guru Pujan and lamp lighting ritual, performed in the august presence of TM teachers Mr. Sameer Tripathi and Mrs. Sandhya Rani, evoking reverence, blessings, and the light of wisdom.
A brief presentation was given, highlighting the University’s vision and the opportunities offered to students. Dr. Kalyan Acharjya (Dean–MSOET), extended a warm welcome to the gathering. In his inspiring address, he congratulated the newly admitted students on becoming a part of MUIT and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunities the university offers. There were video blessings from the Hon’ble Chancellor, Director General, Vice Chancellor, and Registrar who encouraged the students to embark on their academic journey with confidence and dedication. Dr. Neeraj Jain (Dean Academics) also shared a welcome note, emphasizing the values of discipline, dedication, and holistic development. Dr. Pawan Dixit (Chief Proctor-MUIT) introduced anti-ragging guidelines and explained the functioning of the Proctorial Board, assuring students of a safe and supportive campus environment.
A melodious singing performance by Aditya (B. Tech, V Semester) added color and liveliness to the programme, which was followed by an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, Mr. Sushil Chandra (Scientist, RSAC-UP), who shared valuable insights on professional and personal development.
The audience was enthralled by Vansh Saini’s mesmerizing solo dance performance, while the duet by Yash and Saikat showcased perfect coordination and energy. Adding rhythm, elegance, and charm to the programme, the graceful group dance by Supriya and Poornima’s team left a lasting impression.
The award for highest student attendance was presented, encouraging others to follow the example of regularity and commitment. A student-led presentation of “Tech Sutra” highlighted creativity and technological innovation, after which the IEEE Student Chapter was introduced, informing students about opportunities for professional learning and growth.
The faculty members of the school were introduced through a presentation, during which students were briefed about their classes, timetable, and respective mentors. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Vaishali Singh (Assistant Professor), who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, guests, faculty members, and students for their participation and contribution to the success of the programme. The event concluded with the National Anthem, followed by refreshments. The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Shweta Vikram (Assistant Professor).
The afternoon session, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, was held for the BCA and MCA students and followed a similar format. Anchors Mr. Daljeet Pal Singh (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Kaneez Zainab (Assistant Professor) hosted the event. It began with registration and the ceremonial Guru Puja and Lamp Lighting. The cultural segment included a Ganesh Vandana dance by Kesar Gupta and group dance by Ishita Gupta and group solo song was presented by Ekanshi Srivastava (BCA III Sem). Administrative addresses and blessings were delivered by the same university officials. The chief guest Mr. Sandeep Joshi (Region Head at TCS, Lucknow) shared his insights with the students. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks Ms. Divyanshi Rajvanshi (Assistant Professor) and the National Anthem, followed by refreshments. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Gauri Mishra (Assistant Professor).
