“DEEKSHARAMBH 2025- STUDENT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME”

Objective: The Maharishi School of Business Management at Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow Campus, conducted "Deeksharambh 2025- Student Orientation Programme” on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The objective of Deeksharambh was to formally welcome the new students of BBA, MBA, B. Com, and M. Com programs to Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow. The program aimed to familiarize students with the university's environment, academic and administrative staff, rules and regulations, and provide a positive and engaging start to their academic journey.

Participating Students: newly admitted students of MBA, BBA, M. Com, and B. Com.

Event Details: The induction program was divided into two sessions: a morning session for BBA and MBA students and an afternoon session for B. Com and M. Com students. The induction program for the BBA and MBA students took place in the morning session (pre-lunch). The event commenced with registration, document verification, and the distribution of welcome kits. Following this, a ceremonial Guru Puja and Lamp Lighting Ceremony were held to officially inaugurate the program. The event featured a variety of cultural performances, including a Ganesh Vandana song by BBA-III semester students Aarti Kumari and Reema Singh, and a Saraswati Vandana dance by Dhriti Pathak. The students were formally welcomed with addresses from university officials, including Dean MSOBM, Dr. Sandhya Sinha, and video blessings from the Hon’ble Chancellor, Director General, Vice Chancellor, and Registrar. Dr. Kalyan Acharjya, Deputy Dean Academics, gave an introduction, and Dr. Pawan Dixit, Chief Proctor, briefed students on anti-ragging guidelines. The program also included a skit on university rules by BBA students and an introductory presentation about MSOBM by Dr. Hansa. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem, followed by refreshments.

The afternoon session (post-lunch) was held for the B. Com and M. Com students and followed a similar format. It began with registration and the ceremonial Guru Puja and Lamp Lighting. The cultural segment included a Ganesh Vandana dance by Khushboo and a classical dance by Priyanka Yadav. Administrative addresses and blessings were delivered by the same university officials. Students also learned about university rules through a skit by B. Com students and received an introduction to MSOBM. The session ended with a Vote of Thanks given by Dr Pawan Kumar Verma, the National Anthem, and refreshments.

Students’ feedback: The program was well-received by the students, offering a comprehensive and engaging introduction to the university. The combination of ceremonial events, official blessings, and cultural performances created a welcoming and memorable experience. The inclusion of student performances helped new students connect with their peers and feel part of the university community. The informative sessions on university rules and anti-ragging guidelines were particularly useful and addressed important topics clearly. Overall, the induction programme was a successful effort in preparing students for their new academic environment.
