Participation in “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Uttar Pradesh 2047”

Date of Event: 10th September 2025

Objective: The Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow Campus participated in the programme titled “Viksit Uttar Pradesh 2047” at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University, Lucknow on 10th September 2025. The programme focused on the vision of making Uttar Pradesh a fully developed state by the year 2047.

Participants: More than 100 students of various schools from MUIT, Lucknow Campus.

Visit Details: The programme commenced with inspiring addresses by Shri Vishak G. (DM Lucknow), who warmly welcomed the dignitaries and set the tone for the session.

The session started with discussion on the importance of the active involvement of youth, educators, and policymakers in paving the way for sustainable progress.

Dr. J. P. Pandey (Vice Chancellor, AKTU, Lucknow) and Dr. Anil Shukla (Ex-Vice Chancellor, Rohilkhand University, Bareilly) highlighted that although India has abundant youth, most are job seekers. They urged students to focus on innovation and patents to safeguard indigenous technology. Referring to global examples, they noted how companies like NVIDIA developed AI solutions once and continue to earn from them, whereas India, despite its talent pool, still remains dependent on external technologies.

Mr. Vinay Prakash Srivastava (Ex-MD, Bheej Bandar Nigam, Lucknow) stressed the crucial role of agriculture in fostering startups. Dr. S. N. Sabatt (Chairman, UPSSSC, Prayagraj) demonstrated the use of AI in the management of the Maha kumbh at Prayagraj. Mr. Alok Kumar (Secretary, MSME, Lucknow) encouraged participants to think broadly in terms of achieving a Viksit Uttar Pradesh. Adding perspective, Mr. Anoop Chandra Pandey (Ex-Chief Secretary, UP Govt) emphasized the need to work in multiple domains simultaneously, sharing an example from his U.S. visit where an MBBS doctor was also pursuing a B. Tech in Computer Science to integrate the latest technologies into medical science.

The discussions further explored key themes such as:

  • Youth empowerment and participation in governance
  • Balancing rural and urban development
  • Adoption of cutting-edge technologies in industry and agriculture to accelerate economic growth
  • Role of women in service sector
  • Earn while you learn

These thought-provoking deliberations reflected not only the creativity and vision of the younger generation but also their strong sense of responsibility towards the state’s development. In addition, interactive sessions provided students with the opportunity to directly engage with policymakers and educators. These dialogues offered fresh perspectives, practical insights, and a deeper understanding of developmental challenges and opportunities.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Ajay Jain (CDO, Lucknow), followed by lunch. The visit of MUIT students was successfully coordinated by Mr. Vipul Kumar Singh (Assistant Professor, MSOPS), Mr. Anupam Kumar Gautam (Assistant Professor, MSOET) and Dr. Ashish Kumar Aggarwal (Nodal Officer, Scholarship Department).

Feedback: The event significantly enhanced students’ awareness of the developmental challenges and opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, encouraging them to think critically and innovatively about sustainable solutions for future growth.
