“Hackathon: From Idea to Impact”

Organised by: Maharishi School of Business Management in association with IQAC

Objective: The primary objective of the Hackathon: 'From Idea to Impact', organized by the Maharishi School of Business Management (MSOBM), MUIT Lucknow Camus in association with IQAC, on 20th September 2025, was to provide MBA students with a platform to apply their management concepts to real-world business challenges. The event was designed to encourage innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through the development of management-based ideas and case studies. By assessing the practical impact of these ideas, the hackathon aimed to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice.

Participating Students: Students of MBA (I Semester).

Event Details: The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a welcome address by Dean-MSOBM and Deputy Dean Academics.

Newly admitted students of MBA program participated in groups, engaging in in-depth discussions on various case studies. They presented their ideas and impact assessments on different topics, including Marketing Strategies for a Sustainable Fashion Brand, Supply Chain Optimization for E-commerce Platforms, and Implementing AI-driven HR Solutions. The presentations were made in front of a distinguished panel of judges- Mr. Abhay Bajpai and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Assistant Professors from the Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology. The judges were highly impressed by the students' innovative approaches and comprehensive analysis.

The hackathon concluded with an awards ceremony where the most impactful ideas were recognized. The first prize was awarded to ‘Mind Mechanism’ (Rudra Tripathi, Aanchal Yadav and Aditi Mishra), followed by ‘Pro-Revivalisht’ (Shubhra Dwivedi) in second place, and there was a tie between ‘Creative Catalyst’ (Shefali Singh, Monishka Mitra, Pratibha Mishra, and Nancy Tiwari) and ‘Idea Hurricane’ (Adyant Dwivedi, Arpit Singh, Ashutosh pal, Jatin Kumar, Avaish Khan, and Kaustubh Chandel) in third place. All participants received certificates, which were distributed by the Dean Academics along with Dean/ Dy Dean, Judges and Convener of the event. The event ended with a vote of thanks from Dean-MSOBM, a group photo to commemorate the occasion, and refreshments for all attendees.

Students’ feedback: The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive. They appreciated the opportunity to work on real-world case studies and present their ideas to industry experts. The interactive nature of the event was particularly valued, as it allowed them to gain valuable insights and refine their problem-solving skills. The presence of judges from the engineering background provided a unique interdisciplinary perspective, which the students found highly beneficial. The participants felt that the hackathon was an excellent learning experience that enhanced their creativity, analytical abilities, and teamwork skills.
