Teachers’ Day Celebration

Organized by: Maharishi University of Information Technology (Lucknow Campus) in association with IQAC

Objective: On 6 September 2025, the Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow Campus, in association with the IQAC, celebrated Teachers' Day, aiming to honour the invaluable contributions of teachers in nurturing wisdom, values, and holistic development among students.

Event Details: The celebration began with a warm welcome note, followed by Guru Pujan conducted by TM teachers. The program further proceeded with the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh (Program Director - New Growth Market Tata Consultancy Services, Lucknow; and Professor of Practice-MSOET, MUIT) and Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava Ji.

The celebration began on a spiritual note with a captivating Ganesh Vandana performed by Shreyashi Mishra and Vaishnavi Sriprakash Singh (B.Sc. Semester III). Melodious songs from Muskan Kallath and Astha Maurya of BA Semester V enthralled the audience, followed by a vibrant dance performance by Urvashi Shukla and Pranjal Sharma of BA Semester III.

The Chief Guest highlighted how teachers, through their constant motivation, can help students grab the opportunity of developing industry relevant skills in fields like renewable energy, AI, when India is advancing in solar energy and opening vast opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Hon’ble Chancellor, in his address, emphasized that the day is more aptly termed as “Shikshak Samman Diwas”, dedicated to honoring the invaluable role of teachers, and further added that through Transcendental Meditation, creativity and holistic development can be instilled in both teachers and students.

The celebration also witnessed the felicitation of faculty members with gifts for their dedication and contributions. Certificates were presented to teachers who completed the CBP and GUVI-HCL FDP programmes successfully. Mr. Mahendra Kumar Gupta (CEO, INurture Incubation Foundation) shared his perspectives on the objectives and impact of the CBP initiative through a video message. He emphasized that the programme was designed to train faculty in the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, enabling them to understand the concept effectively and guide students in their entrepreneurial journey.

A significant milestone marked the day with inauguration of the AI & ML Innovation Lab by the Chief Guest and the Hon’ble Chancellor in the presence of senior academic leaders. Fully equipped with 30 advanced AI-supported systems, up to 512 GB SSD storage, 16 GB RAM and latest i5 processors, the lab will foster cutting-edge skills, research, and innovation in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

A meaningful interaction of the newly joined faculty with the Hon’ble Chancellor, in the presence of the Registrar and all Deans, further enriched the occasion with academic insights and visionary guidance. The day concluded with lunch, reflecting harmony and collective joy.

The formal programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dean Academics, Dr. Neeraj Jain, followed by the National Anthem. The program was anchored by Dr Kanu Priya Verma (Associate Professor, MSOH).
