World Bamboo Day Celebration

Organised by: Maharishi School of Agriculture in association with IQAC

Objective: The Maharishi School of Agriculture (MUIT Lucknow Campus), in association with IQAC, organized a vibrant celebration of World Bamboo Day on 18th September 2025, based on the theme “Next Generation Bamboo Solution, Innovation and Design.” The primary objective of the event was to raise awareness about the sustainable and innovative use of bamboo while encouraging students to explore its potential in the fields of agriculture, design, and environmental conservation.

Participating Students:  Students from all schools of  MUIT  Lucknow  Campus.

Event Details: A Bamboo Exhibition was conducted, showing various creative bamboo products. The products and models prepared by students, aimed at promoting green innovation. Alongside the exhibition, a spirited Bamboo Relay Race Competition was held to emphasize the importance of teamwork, physical activity, and fun learning experiences rooted in sustainability. Students from various schools of MUIT actively participated, demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm, creativity, and competitive spirit. The participants showcased innovative concepts related to bamboo's utility in sustainable agriculture, architecture, and daily life.

The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where winners of the competitions were awarded for their outstanding performance, creativity, and sporting spirit. This motivated all participants and added to the celebratory atmosphere of the day.

 

Students’ Feedback:  Students shared that the World Bamboo Day celebration was not just an event, but an eye-opening experience. They were deeply inspired by how a simple natural resource like bamboo could offer so many innovative and sustainable solutions. The exhibition and relay race brought learning to life—making it fun, engaging, and meaningful.
