Prarambh 2025 – The Fresher’s Party

Objective: Maharishi School of Sciences, MUIT Lucknow Campus in association with IQAC organize Prarambh 2025 – The Fresher’s Party for first year students. The event aimed to provide an interactive and engaging platform where freshers could express their talents, interact with seniors, and become an integral part of the MUIT community. It was designed to foster camaraderie, creativity, and a sense of belonging among the students while celebrating the beginning of their academic journey.

Event Details: The event began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by a Ganesh Vandana, marking an auspicious beginning to the event. Dr. Nishant Kumar, Dean, Maharishi School of Sciences, addressed the gathering with an inspiring welcome speech, encouraging students to focus on both academic excellence and co-curricular engagement for holistic development. Following the inaugural session, the stage came alive with a series of cultural performances by students, including group and solo dances, singing performances, poetry recitation, and fresher rounds such as ramp walk and talent showcase. These performances reflected the enthusiasm, creativity, and energy of the new batch.

After three rounds of lively freshers’ contests, the titles of Miss Fresher and Mr. Fresher were awarded to Shrashti Tiwari (B.Sc. Biotechnology) and Ritesh Kumar (M.Sc. Zoology), respectively. Their confidence, talent, and stage presence were appreciated by all.

The event concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Kanchan Awasthi, Deputy Dean, MSOS, who congratulated all participants and emphasized the importance of balancing academics with co-curricular involvement. The program ended with award distribution, a group photograph, the National Anthem, and distribution of refreshments, creating a joyful conclusion to the celebration.

Student Feedback: Freshers expressed that the event boosted their confidence and made them feel welcomed as part of the MUIT family. Senior students appreciated the opportunity to organize and participate in the event, noting that it enhanced their leadership, coordination, and teamwork skills. Overall, both freshers and seniors described the event as a joyful, inclusive, and unforgettable experience.
