Alumni Connect 2025 – Series 1.6

Organised by: Alumni Cell in association with IQAC

Objective: The Alumni Cell of Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow Campus, in association with IQAC, organised Alumni Connect 2025 – Series 1.6 on 27th September 2025. The objective of this initiative was to provide students with meaningful exposure to alumni experiences, offering valuable career guidance, life lessons, and professional insights into the theme “Generosity and Social Impact – Social Work and the Ethics of Giving.”

Participating Students: B.A. and M.A. students

Event Details: The session featured Ms. Nitisha Yadav (MSW 2021–2023), currently serving as Project Officer, GAIL Utkarsh Super 80, Varanasi, U.P. In her inspiring talk, Ms. Yadav highlighted the importance of generosity and ethical practices in social work. Drawing on her professional journey, she shared practical insights into how compassion, when combined with responsibility, can create sustainable social impact. She motivated students to view social work as a structured, impactful, and professional pursuit, rather than merely charity.

Dr. Rupam Singh, Dean of the Maharishi School of Humanities, congratulated the alumna on her achievements and highlighted the significance of Alumni Connect 2025 in linking students with alumni experiences to support their career development and personal growth. Ms. Nitisha Yadav was also felicitated as a token of gratitude from her alma mater. Dr. R.P. Dixit proposed the vote of thanks, and the event was organized by Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Convener of the Alumni Cell, MUIT Lucknow Campus.

Students’ feedback: Students found the session highly motivating and insightful. They appreciated the opportunity to interact with an alumna and expressed that the discussion encouraged them to reflect upon their responsibilities towards society and prepare themselves for impactful contributions in the field of social work.
