Alumni Connect 2025 – Series 1.3

Objective: On 30th August 2025, Maharishi Alumni Cell in association with IQAC, successfully hosted the third session of its flagship initiative “Alumni Connect 2025 Series 1.3, entitled “Alumni Connect: Mentoring: Shaping Futures”. The objective of the Alumni Connect initiative was to build a strong bridge between alumni and current students by fostering mentorship, knowledge sharing, and networking. It aimed to provide students with real-world perspectives, enhance their professional readiness, and create opportunities for career growth while strengthening the bond between the alumni community and the institution.

Participating Students: BCA, B. Tech, Diploma.

Event Details: The event commenced with a warm welcome by Dean, MSOET Dr. Kalyan Acharjya, to the guest resource person  Dr. Maaz Allah Khan, a distinguished alumnus of the university who completed his M. Tech in Environmental Engineering in 2018. Currently excelling in his professional journey, Dr. Khan was invited to inspire and guide the current student community. During his lecture, Dr. Khan emphasized the significance of mentorship in shaping the career trajectory of young professionals. He highlighted the role of mentors in guiding students to set clear objectives, develop essential skills, and overcome challenges. Drawing from his personal academic and professional experiences, he motivated the students to pursue continuous learning, discipline, and perseverance. An interactive Q&A round was conducted, where students raised thoughtful queries on higher education, industry readiness, and career opportunities. Dr. Khan responded to each with clarity, providing practical guidance and valuable insights. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Girija Shankar Sahoo.The event was convened by Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh and supported by Alumni Cell member (MSOET) Mr. Anupam Kumar Gautam[d1] .

Students’ feedback: The students shared encouraging feedback, highlighting the immense value of the session. Many expressed that the interaction not only deepened their understanding of mentorship but also inspired them to approach their academic and professional journeys with renewed confidence and determination.
