Alumni Connect 2025 – Series 1.1

Objective: On August 27, 2025, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow Campus, successfully hosted the first session of its "Alumni Connect 2025" series. Titled Alumni Connect 2025 Series 1.1: “Research and Consultancy," the event aimed to connect current students with experienced alumni, providing them with real-world guidance and fostering a strong sense of community. The primary objective of this initiative is to create a valuable platform for research and knowledge-sharing that helps students gain practical insights and enhance their professional readiness.

Participating Students: A large number of students from the Maharishi School of Sciences pursuing programmes like B. Sc and M. Sc. in various disciplines.

Event Details: The event began with the felicitation of the guest speaker, Mr. Aakash Mishra, an alumnus of the Maharishi School of Sciences (M. Sc. Zoology, 2021-23). He was honoured with a memento and a patka by the university. Following the felicitation, Mr. Mishra delivered a highly informative presentation on his current field of work: Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR). He provided a detailed overview of this critical global issue, including its causes and potential solutions. His lecture was well-received by the students, who found the information both comprehensive and engaging. After the presentation, an interactive Q&A session was held, during which Mr. Mishra confidently and graciously addressed student queries. He provided insightful guidance on career prospects in microbial research for life science students and offered a clear pathway for them to successfully transition into this growing field. He also emphasized the importance of self-study and regular class attendance, acknowledging the significant role his teachers at MUIT played in his career journey.

The Dean  MSOS, Dr. Nishant Kumar, officially introduced the "Alumni Connect 2025" series to the students. He highlighted its purpose and importance in bridging the gap between former and current students, thereby helping them secure better guidance for their future. Dy. Dean  MSOS, Dr. Kanchan Awasthi proposed the vote of thanks. The program was convened by Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh with the support of Alumni member (MSOS) Dr. Kirti Singh.

Students’ feedback: The session was highly appreciated by the students, who found Mr. Mishra's lecture and guidance to be extremely valuable. The interaction provided them with a deeper understanding of the career opportunities available in microbial research and motivated them to pursue their professional goals with greater confidence.
