Historical Visit to Ayodhya

Objective: On September 23, 2025, Maharishi School of Humanities (MUIT Lucknow Campus) in association with IQAC, organized a historical tour to Ayodhya. The objective of the tour was to explore Ayodhya’s historical and literary heritage and provide experiential learning for students.

Participating Students:  BA (History and Hindi) students.

Visit Details: The students departed at 7:00 a.m. for the Ayodhya visit. Upon arrival in Ayodhya, they first visited the Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple. Dr. Arti Gupta explained the temple's architecture and style, noting it is built in the Nagar style as a Panchayatan temple with four smaller temples surrounding the main temple.

Afterwards, students visited the Antarrashtriya Ram Katha Sangrahalaya, where they had an amazing opportunity to interact with the Honourable Director Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh, who explained about the 20 galleries to be constructed in the museum, which is currently under construction. He also showed digital videos to enhance students' knowledge and understanding. The team of the International Ram Katha Sangrahalaya cooperated well in this endeavour.

Following the museum visit, students went to Kanak Bhawan and Hanumangarhi, where they had darshan of the deity at Hanumangarhi. Then proceeded to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ramayan Vishwavidyalaya. Faculty members of Ramayan Vishwavidyalaya warmly welcomed the students and had a subject-related interaction. Chief Proctor Dr. Anand Dubey of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ramayan Vishwavidyalaya, Ayodhya, provided interesting and specific information to the students. After completing the tour, all students returned to Lucknow.

This educational tour not only provided an insightful learning opportunity but also fostered a sense of cultural pride among students. Maharishi School of Humanities looks forward to organizing more such events in the future for the holistic development of its students. The tour was coordinated by Dr. Arti Gupta, Assistant Professor (History), and Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor (Hindi) at the Maharishi School of Humanities. who linked Ayodhya's cultural and literary heritage to the Hindi subject.

Students’ feedback: Students expressed that the experience was both enlightening and inspiring, as it offered them the opportunity to witness the historical, cultural, and religious significance of the sacred city firsthand. The visit allowed students to connect their classroom learning by exploring important sites, temples, and heritage spots. Many students particularly appreciated the chance to learn about the rich legacy of Ayodhya, its association with Lord Rama, and its importance in Indian history and culture.
