AGAAZ 2025 (Student Fresher Program)

Organised by: Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology in association with IQAC
Objective: The Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology, MUIT Lucknow Campus, in association with IQAC successfully organized Agaaz 2025 (Student Fresher Program). The event was aimed to provide an enjoyable platform for new students to interact with their seniors and peers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It also aims to promote bonding, boost confidence, and help fresher feel comfortable and included in the campus through fun activities, performances, and informal interactions.
Participating Students: Nearly 1300 students including newly admitted students & seniors of Diploma, UG and PG programs (B. Tech/ BCA/ M. Tech/ MCA) attended the event.
Event Details: The venue was beautifully decorated, creating a festive and lively atmosphere while students dressed in elegant and traditional attire added grace to the event.
The event started with sacred Guru Pujan and lamp lighting ceremony, led by TM teachers along with esteemed dignitaries. Freshers were warmly greeted by senior students through tilak marking, creating a sense of respect, inclusion, and joy as they entered the venue. To mark an auspicious beginning, Priya Sharma presented a graceful Saraswati Vandana dance performance, filling the atmosphere with devotion and serenity. This was followed by addresses by dignitaries, including the Dr. Kalyan Acharjya (Dean MSOET), who appreciated the excellent organization of the event and encouraged students to cultivate leadership qualities through active participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
The cultural performances commenced soon after, starting with the first group dance performance by Pallavi, Payal, Prerna, Sonali, and Shweta Chaturvedi, which set a lively and colourful tone for the event. The excitement continued with the first round of the ramp walk by fresher students, where participants showcased confidence, elegance, and style on stage. The audience then enjoyed the second group dance performance by Saiket Guha, Sudhanshu, Divyansh, Ridhi, and Nibha, whose synchronized moves and vibrant energy drew loud applause. A solo dance performance by Vansh added to the entertainment, captivating the audience with expressive choreography and rhythm.
The momentum carried forward with the next group dance performance by Yash, Shreyansh, Krishna, Altamash, Abhishek, Ridhi, Kanchan, Ekanshi, Yashika, and Kashish, which electrified the stage with a mix of contemporary and Bollywood styles. The Mr. and Ms. Fresher Contest then proceeded to its second round (Talent Round), where contestants showcased their creativity and unique abilities. A solo singing performance by Shruti Nirmal brought a melodious touch to the afternoon, while another group dance performance by Manisha, Keshar Gupta, Shivani Dixit, and Sakshi Singh added grace and cultural elegance to the stage.
The audience was then treated to a heartfelt shayari performance by Ajeet Prajapati, followed by an expressive solo dance by Shivangi Singh, and a melodious solo singing performance by Hamza. The rhythm and excitement continued with the fifth group dance performance by Astha and Angel, whose energetic choreography lit up the stage. This is followed by another group dance performance by Arthavendra, Ruchi, Sneha, and Utkarsh impressed the crowd with seamless synchronization and lively movements, while a group singing performance by Priyaanshi, Preeti, and Swati added a cheerful and harmonious note to the program.
The much-awaited third round of the Mr. & Ms. Fresher Contest (Question & Answer Round) followed, where participants showcased confidence, spontaneity, and wit, impressing the judges and audience alike. A solo dance performance by Shivam Singh then captured everyone’s attention with his energetic moves, followed by the seventh group dance performance by Ekanshi, Medha, Yashika, Ishita, and Kashish, which kept the festive energy alive.
The event concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony of Mr. & Ms. Fresher, coordinated by Mr. Daljeet Pal Singh and Mrs. Pooja Shukla, Assistant Professor, (MSOET). Shivam Singh (Diploma, CSE) was crowned Mr. Fresher 2025, while Kashish Gupta (BCA, Section A) was titled Ms. Fresher 2025. The Runners-up titles were awarded to Nitin Verma (B. Tech, CSE) and Agamya Gupta (BCA, Section C) for their exceptional performance, confidence, and stage presence.
This was followed by a warm Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Juhi Singh Rathore, acknowledging the efforts of students, faculty, and organizers, after which a group photograph session was held to capture the wonderful memories. The celebration reached its peak with a Dandiya Dance Performance by Keshar Gupta, Shivani Dixit, and Tanishka Singh, leading into a joyful DJ session and food service, where students and faculty celebrated together in high spirits.
Throughout the event, the anchors Naincy Agarwal and Tia Sabarwal, along with Neilangshu and Khan Ilma Iftekhar, and Shashwat Mishra and Sakshi Singh, showcased fabulous coordination, keeping the audience engaged and the program flowing seamlessly. The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. Divyanshi Rajvanshi (Assistant Professor) and her team.
Aagaaz 2025 truly reflected the spirit of unity, creativity, and festivity, making it a memorable and inspiring beginning for the new batch of students at MUIT.
Students Feedback- Students described Aagaaz 2025 as an unforgettable experience filled with fun, energy, and inspiration. They appreciated the platform it provided to showcase talent and build new friendships. Many shared that the warm welcome made them feel truly part of the MUIT family. Overall, they praised the event’s perfect blend of culture, creativity, and celebration.
