KISAN GOSTHI
Date of Event: 11th October 2025
Organised by: Maharishi School of Agriculture in association with IQAC
Objective: The students of Maharishi School of Agriculture organised a Kisan Gosthi on 11th October 2025, in association with IQAC. The main objective of the Kisan Gosthi was to create awareness among farmers about modern and sustainable agricultural technologies. It aimed to promote direct interaction between farmers, scientists, and students, focusing on the exchange of scientific knowledge related to crop production, protection, and soil management, thereby strengthening the link between research institutions and farming communities.
Participating students-Students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture VII Semester
Event Details: The B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture VII Semester students of Maharishi School of Agriculture organized a Kisan Gosthi at KVK Dhaura, Unnao, under the RAWE & AIA Programme. The event witnessed participation from nearby villages with over 250 progressive farmers, reflecting a strong interest in modern and sustainable farming practices.
The programme was graced by eminent scientists Dr. A. K. Singh (Head & Senior Scientist, KVK, Unnao), Dr. Jai Kumar Yadav (Scientist, Plant Pathology, KVK, Unnao), Dr. Dheeraj Tiwari (Scientist, Agronomy, KVK, Unnao), and Dr. Ratna Sahay (Scientist, Soil Science, KVK, Unnao) who delivered insightful lectures on crop management, soil health, and climate-resilient farming.
Representing Maharishi School of Agriculture, Dr. Dheeraj Yadav (Dean, MSOA) and Dr. Ankit Singh Yadav (Assistant Professor, MSOA) motivated the students and farmers, emphasizing the importance of field-based learning and community engagement.
The event concluded with an interactive session, where farmers shared their experiences, challenges, and success stories, creating a productive platform for knowledge exchange.
Students’ feedback: Students expressed that the Kisan Gosthi provided valuable practical exposure and an opportunity to interact directly with farmers and scientists. They felt it enhanced their understanding of real-world agricultural challenges and scientific solutions.
