Vigilance Awareness Programme – 2025

Objective: In compliance with the UGC notification under Vigilance Awareness Week–2025, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow Campus organized an impactful Vigilance Awareness Programme on 31 October 2025. The programme aimed to sensitize students and staff about the importance of ethical conduct, the elimination of corruption, and the vital role of responsible citizens in building a transparent, accountable, and corruption-free society.
Participants: Faculty and students from all Schools.
Event Details: The event began with an inspiring address by Prof. (Dr.) Bhanu Pratap Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, who highlighted the rising challenges posed by unethical practices in society and stressed the importance of awareness, discipline, and preventive vigilance. He reminded students that as future professionals and nation-builders, they must uphold integrity and transparency in every aspect of life. Following this, Dr. Neeraj Jain, Dean Academics, addressed the gathering and emphasized the significance of vigilance awareness in both academic and professional spheres. She highlighted that integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct are essential for personal development and institutional credibility. Encouraging students to remain alert and responsible, she reiterated that their commitment to honesty will help create a transparent and corruption-free society. Dr. Vikas Kumar Shukla, Dean Students’ Welfare, also addressed the students, motivating them by underscoring the importance of vigilance awareness in daily life. He explained that honesty, discipline, and transparency not only strengthen an individual’s character but also contribute to societal progress. He encouraged students to adopt ethical and responsible behavior, reminding them that today’s youth will shape the nation’s future. His insightful words left a meaningful impact on the audience. The NSS Program Officer, Dr. Sapan Asthana, administered the Vigilance Pledge, urging all students and staff to uphold the values of honesty, integrity, and transparency. He emphasized the need to remain vigilant, responsible, and ethical in everyday actions and motivated everyone to contribute actively toward building a corruption-free and accountable society. The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the successful completion of the Vigilance Awareness Programme.
Students’ feedback: Students shared that the Vigilance Awareness Programme was highly informative and motivating. They appreciated the insightful address by the speakers and felt that the session strengthened their understanding of honesty, transparency, and responsible citizenship. Many students expressed that participating in the pledge and activities inspired them to stay vigilant, uphold ethical values, and contribute positively to a corruption-free society.
