Event Details: The event began with the motivational message by Dean Academics Dr. Neeraj Jain, who emphasized the importance of education and empowerment of girls and women as key pillars of an inclusive and progressive society. She highlighted the role of educational institutions in ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive environment, and motivated students and women employees to be confident, informed, and proactive in safeguarding their rights. Dean, MSOH Dr. Rupam Singh, encouraged students and women employees to be aware of their rights, uphold self-respect and dignity, and actively contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive academic environment.
The session was designed to empower participants by enhancing their understanding of the constitutional and legal safeguards available to women in India. The resource expert for the programme, Dr. Rashmi Srivastava (Associate Professor, Department of Education, Mahila Vidyalaya Degree College, Lucknow), delivered an informative and insightful lecture. She elaborated on various important aspects, including the legal rights of women, constitutional provisions ensuring equality and protection, and workplace laws that promote safety, dignity, and equal opportunities for women employees.
She also highlighted preventive measures to address harassment and discrimination at the workplace and explained the role of institutional mechanisms in reporting grievance redressal and ensuring justice. Her presentation helped participants understand not only their rights but also the proper procedures and channels available for seeking support and redressal in cases of workplace misconduct or violations.
