National Education Day

Date of Event: 11th November 2025

Organised by: Maharishi School of Humanities (MUIT Lucknow Campus) in association with IQAC

Objective: The Maharishi School of Humanities (MUIT Lucknow Campus), in association with IQAC, organized the celebration of National Education Day on 11th November 2025. The event centered on the theme “Bridging the Gender Gap through Education,” aimed to inspire students to contribute towards building a more equitable society. It emphasized that every individual, irrespective of gender, deserves equal access to quality education and opportunities for growth and success through creative expression.

Event Details: The event began at 2:00 PM with a warm welcome address by Dr. Rupam Singh, Dean (MSOH), who emphasized that education is the most powerful means to ensure gender equity. The motivational words by Dr. Neeraj Jain, Dean Academics, set an inspiring tone for the session. She stated that when both girls and boys are provided with equal educational opportunities, it not only empowers individuals but also strengthens the entire community to rise above inequality. Centered on the theme “Bridging the Gender Gap through Education,” the speech competition emphasized the vital role of education in promoting gender equality and empowering individuals. Students participated enthusiastically, expressing insightful views on how education serves as a bridge toward achieving gender balance in society. Each speech reflected thoughtful insights and a shared commitment to creating a balanced and equitable future through education. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a vote of thanks by Dr. R. P. Dixit, Deputy Dean (MSOH).

 The winners of the competition were Vaibhav Srivastava (MSOBM) – First Prize, Shreya Gupta (MSOH) – Second Prize, and Swarnima Shukla (MSOPS) – Third Prize. The competition was judged by Dr. Vijay Srivastava (Associate Professor MSOH) and Dr. Kanu Priya Verma (Associate Professor MSOH). The event was coordinated by Dr. Sarojani Singh (Convener of the event and of Equal Opportunity and Gender Sensitization Cell).

Students Feedback: Participants expressed that the event significantly enhanced their understanding of gender equality and the pivotal role of education in bridging the gender gap. They shared that it encouraged them to think critically and express their views on creating an inclusive society. The positive feedback and thoughtful suggestions reaffirmed the importance of such initiatives in promoting awareness and fostering social responsibility among students.
