5-Day FDP On

AI Adoption for Contemporary Changes in TeachingLearning Processes

                                             (MUIT, Lucknow Campus)

Objective: The Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology at MUIT Lucknow Campus, successfully conducted 5 Day FDP Programme from 24th to 31st January, 2026. The primary objective of the programme was to emphasize on responsible AI adoption, critical thinking, and value-based decision-making in higher education.

Participants: More than 100 faculty members across Humanities, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Engineering, Management, and allied disciplines.

Event Details: The first day of FDP was conducted successfully on 24th January 2026 on the theme “AI Adoption in Teaching–Learning: Tools & Trends.” Dr. Abhinesh Kaushik (IIIT Lucknow) explained the concept of Artificial Intelligence and its increasing relevance in academic processes. He discussed practical applications of AI in teaching–learning, with a focused session on prompt engineering for effective academic use. The session also highlighted the role of AI in enhancing student engagement, personalized learning, and assessment practices. Faculties gained valuable insights into integrating AI tools into their day-to-day academic and teaching activities.

The second day of the FDP was conducted successfully on 27th January 2026. The invited Resource Person, Mr. Lokesh Kumar, (Data Engineering Specialist, GUVI–HCL), delivered an engaging session on “AI tools and real-world use cases”, including live demonstrations on prompt understanding, image data analysis, and the use of image/data inputs in AI models. He also emphasized how non-technical users can effectively apply AI model, along with discussions on ethics and limitations. The session included hands-on training on ChatGPT, covering lecture planning, content creation, and AI-assisted presentations.

The third day FDP session was conducted successfully on 29th January 2026. The invited Resource Person, Dr. Archana Sahai, (Amity University, Lucknow), delivered an insightful session on “AI-Enabled Academic Processes.” She shared pro tips for using AI as a superpower in academics, covering structured prompt drafting, output evaluation, gap diagnosis, and systematic checking. She also highlighted common prompt-related traps to avoid, and

demonstrated AI-driven course design prompts and prompt-based rubric design for effective teaching and assessment. The session was organized in the latter part of the second half and concluded with active faculty interaction, enriching participants’ understanding of practical AI adoption in academic processes.

The fourth day of the FDP was held successfully on 30th January 2026. The invited Resource Person, Dr. Alka, (Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Central University, Lucknow), delivered an insightful session on “AI, Ethics and Human Values in Contemporary Higher Education.” She emphasized AI ethics in research, ethical dilemmas, cautious use of AI tools, concerns related to data and algorithmic bias, and the importance of human values and judgment in responsible AI adoption. The session concluded with meaningful interactions, reinforcing ethical and value-driven use of AI in higher education.

The fifth and final day of FDP was successfully conducted on 31st January 2026. The concluding session was delivered by Mr. Ambrish Kumar Srivastava, Senior Professional, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Lucknow, on “A Transcendental Journey from Vedanta to Generative AI: Foreseeing the Future through the Lens of Quantum Computing.” The session offered a thought-provoking blend of Vedantic philosophy, consciousness, Generative AI, and Quantum Computing, encouraging faculty members to adopt deeper, value-driven perspectives while engaging with emerging AI technologies.

The lecture was widely appreciated for its futuristic outlook and interdisciplinary depth. An online test and feedback session followed, with all faculty members participating actively. The feedback strongly recommended organizing more full-day FDPs on advanced AI and interdisciplinary themes.

Faculty Feedback: The FDP was widely appreciated for its futuristic outlook and interdisciplinary depth. The feedback strongly recommended organizing more full-day FDPs on advanced AI and interdisciplinary themes including IKS.
