“Tax Tech: A Practical Aspect of Taxation with Tax Software”

Objective of the Session: To equip students with the aspects of taxation, tax software ability to automate calculations and generate accurate tax returns.

Participating Students: MBA, BBA M. Com and B.Com students.

No of participants: Targeted participants 100+ Students (Commerce and Management)

Maharishi School of Business Management in collaboration with IQAC organized a special lecture on "Tax Tech: A Practical Aspect of Taxation with Tax Software" on 23rd  November 2024, at TM Hall, MUIT, Lucknow Campus.

The speaker for the day was Mrs. Kusum Yadav, CA/ Assistant Professor, MVDC, Lucknow with over 10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.

The lecture commenced with the lamp lighting and felicitation of the guest speaker by the dignitaries including Dr. Sandhya Sinha (Dean, MSOBM). The event was anchored by the Convener Dr. Babita Dubey, Assistant Professor, MSOBM. A short welcome speech was given to greet the guest and encourage the students to participate in the lecture actively.

The speaker, Mrs. Kusum Yadav delivered an engaging presentation, exploring the concepts of                 Taxation with Technology and its applications. The lecture on "Tax Tech: A Practical Aspect of Taxation with Tax Software" provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of taxation and the role of technology in simplifying and streamlining tax processes. The session began with a comprehensive overview of traditional tax practices, highlighting the challenges associated with manual calculations, paper-based records, and time-consuming compliance procedures. It then delved into the transformative potential of tax software, emphasizing its ability to automate calculations, generate accurate tax returns, and minimize errors.

The lecture also touched upon the importance of staying updated with the latest tax laws and regulations. The speaker highlighted the role of tax software in ensuring compliance and avoiding penalties.

 

The lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session, which helped the students in understanding the effectiveness of taxation with technology and implementing them in their personal and professional purposes. At the end a vote of thanks was given by the Dean, Dr Sandhya Sinha, Associate Professor, Maharishi School of Business Management.
