Report on One-Day Boot Camp on Data Science & Data Visualization

Objective:

The boot camp aimed to equip participants with essential and advanced skills in data handling, pre-processing, and visualization, through hands-on training.

Participants: A total of 85 students from B.Tech CSE, BCA & MCA .

Trainer: Mr. Akash Shrivastava, Data Science Expert, SpidervellA Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Technical Details:

Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology MUIT, LucknowCampus), in association with IQAC, MUIT, organized a “One-Day Boot Camp on Data Science and Data Visualization” on February 5, 2025. It was an interactive session with hands-on training, focusing on topics such as:

• Introduction to Data Science and Its Applications
• Data Pre-processing and Cleaning Techniques
• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)
• Visualization Techniques Using Matplotlib and Seaborn
• Data Storytelling with Power BI and Tableau
• Introduction to Machine Learning Concepts for Data Analysis
• Real-world Case Studies in Data Science and Visualization
• Best Practices in Data Interpretation and Communication

At the end of the session, every student gained foundational understanding of data science tools and techniques for extracting insights from data. They also practiced real-time data visualization to enhance decision-making skills.

Student Feedback:

Following the successful boot camp, student feedback highlighted high satisfaction and enthusiasm for the hands-on learning experience. Many requested more workshops to enhance their analytical and visualization skills. MUIT remains dedicated to organizing such initiatives to strengthen job prospects in data science.
