The International Epilepsy Day event, held on February 10, 2025, at the Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSOPS), MUIT Lucknow Campus, in collaboration with IQAC, was a resounding success. The event aimed to raise awareness about epilepsy, its prevention, and treatment, aligning with the global mission to eliminate stigma and enhance understanding of the condition.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a gesture symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment. This was gracefully followed by a heartfelt rendition of Saraswati Vandana, performed by Ms. Indu Vishwakarma, a B. Pharm 4th-semester student, creating an atmosphere of reverence and positivity. Dr. Prakash Deep, Deputy Dean of MSOPS, delivered the welcome address, extending warm greetings to the attendees. Subsequently, Dr. Neeraj Jain, Dean Academics, and Dr. Sapan Asthana, Dean Student Welfare, delivered insightful and inspiring speeches, offering words of encouragement and fostering a spirit of motivation and purpose among the audience.

A captivating and highly interactive guest lecture on epilepsy and first-aid training, delivered by Dr. Vivek Srivastava, Associate Professor at Amity University, served as a centerpiece of the event. The session not only aimed to enhance awareness about epilepsy but also equipped students with critical first-aid techniques to effectively manage seizure emergencies. Dr. Srivastava's expertise and engaging delivery style ensured a thought-provoking and enriching experience for the attendees, fostering both knowledge and practical skills essential for real-life situations.

The event's seamless execution was made possible through the diligent coordination of Mrs. Deepika Gupta and Mr. Shubham Bhatt. Several faculty members, including Mr. Nilesh Kumar Pandey, and Mrs. Ankita Mishra, oversaw various arrangements. Student volunteers also played an instrumental role in ensuring the event's success.
