Industrial Visit to SLMG Beverages (Coca-Cola) Brindavan Plant

Objective:
On 15th February 2025, a group of 50 BBA-IV Semester students from the Maharishi School of Business Management, MUIT Lucknow Campus, embarked on an industrial visit to the SLMG Beverages (Coca-Cola) Brindavan Plant. The primary objective of this initiative was to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom learning and the practical realities of the business world. The visit aimed to provide students with direct exposure to the operational framework of a globally renowned beverage manufacturing company, focusing on production processes, quality control mechanisms, supply chain management, and the integration of technology. Dr Praveen Joshi and Dr Anjuly, faculty coordinators, guided the students throughout the visit.

Visit Details:
The students arrived at the SLMG Beverages (Coca-Cola) Brindavan Plant at 12:00 noon, where they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Atul, the Human Resource Manager. Mr. Atul provided a comprehensive overview of the company's history, mission, and strategic objectives. He highlighted SLMG Beverages' position as a flagship entity of the Ladhani Group and its significant role as a Coca-Cola bottling partner for over three decades. Mr. Atul emphasized the company's commitment to sustained growth and operational excellence, encapsulated in its guiding principle, "United to Grow Ahead."
The guided tour encompassed key operational areas, offering students valuable insights. They observed the sequential stages of beverage production, from mixing to bottling, labelling, and packaging, highlighting the high degree of automation and precision in these processes. Furthermore, the tour showcased the facility's rigorous quality assurance procedures, emphasizing Coca-Cola's stringent standards for product consistency and consumer safety. Finally, students gained valuable insights into the integrated supply chain, encompassing procurement, warehousing, and distribution, which contribute to the seamless operation of the plant.
A highly engaging Q&A session followed, featuring key personnel such as the plant manager, production supervisor, and quality control experts. Students actively participated, discussing industry challenges, technological advancements, and career prospects within the beverage manufacturing sector.
Students’ feedback:
The visit provided students with several valuable insights, including the observation of operational excellence in large-scale beverage manufacturing, emphasizing the importance of automation and lean manufacturing practices. Furthermore, the stringent quality control measures reinforced the necessity of maintaining superior product standards to ensure consumer safety and satisfaction. The seamless integration of supply chain and logistics with production operations showcased best practices in inventory and distribution management. Additionally, the visit highlighted Coca-Cola's investment in advanced manufacturing technologies, enhancing efficiency and reducing operational bottlenecks. Lastly, interactions with industry professionals provided students with practical knowledge and career guidance, offering a deeper understanding of the evolving beverage industry landscape. Students have appreciated the supportive and interactive learning environment and their feedback on the visit was very positive.
