Report on National Pharmacy Education Day

Objective:
The Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, MUIT Lucknow Campus, in association with IQAC, organized the National Pharmacy Education Day 2025 on March 06, 2025, with the theme “Entrepreneurship & Startups in Pharma and Pharmacy Practice: Encouraging Innovation, Incubation Centers, and Pharmaceutical Startups.”
The objective of the event was to promote awareness about the role of pharmaceutical education in healthcare advancements, encourage students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities, and emphasize the importance of innovation, incubation centers, and pharmaceutical startups in transforming healthcare services. The event also aimed to inspire students and professionals to develop innovative solutions in pharmacy practice, drug development, and healthcare technology.
Participating Students:
A large number of students from B. Pharm and D. Pharm actively participated in the event. Their enthusiasm and active involvement significantly contributed to the success of the program.
Event Details:
The event commenced with the traditional Guru Pujan, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Dean-MSOPS, Dr. Shikhar Verma, who encouraged and motivated the students with his words of wisdom. Dr. Verma also delivered an impactful speech highlighting the significance of pharmaceutical education, its critical role in healthcare advancement, and the contributions of pharmacists in ensuring safe and effective medication use.
The event featured a variety of educational and engaging activities, providing a platform for students to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and skills in the pharmaceutical domain. One of the major highlights was the Poster and Model Presentation, where students displayed innovative posters and working models focusing on pharmaceutical startups, advanced drug formulations, emerging drug delivery technologies, and the role of pharmacists in ensuring patient care and public health. Participants demonstrated models related to drug action, dosage forms, and modern dispensing techniques, promoting a practical understanding of pharmaceutical sciences. Another key attraction was the Role Play and Skit Competition, where students depicted real-life challenges and practical solutions in pharmacy practice, addressing topics such as medication adherence, ethical responsibilities of pharmacists, challenges in drug regulations, and the role of startups in improving healthcare delivery. The presentations and performances were evaluated by Dr. Pavan Kushwaha, Dr. Nidhi Srivastava, and Dr. Rupam Singh, who assessed participants based on their innovation, presentation skills, creativity, and overall impact. The event concluded with the Prize Distribution ceremony, recognizing outstanding performances in both categories. In the Poster & Model Presentation, Manas Srivastava (B. Pharm II Sem) secured the 1st prize, followed by Prince Shukla (D. Pharm II Year) in 2nd place, and Vaibhav Dixit (B. Pharm II Sem) in 3rd place. In the Skit & Role Play Category, Anshu & Team won 1st prize, Swarnima & Team secured 2nd place, and Shivam & Team achieved 3rd place. The winners were honored by esteemed dignitaries, while all participants received certificates of participation in recognition of their efforts.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Mrs. Deepika Gupta and Mr. Shubham Bhatt, with valuable support from faculty members, including Mr. Aman Agrahari, Mr. Vipul Singh, and Ms. Pragati Mishra, ensuring seamless execution. Special recognition was given to Mrs. Ankita Mishra for her exceptional guidance and motivation in preparing B. Pharm 2nd semester students for the poster presentation. Additionally, the dedicated efforts of student volunteers contributed significantly to the success of the event.
Students’ Feedback:
The students expressed their gratitude and appreciation for organizing such a productive and knowledge-enhancing event. They emphasized that the event not only helped them understand the importance of entrepreneurship and startups in the pharmaceutical sector but also inspired them to explore new business opportunities, innovative solutions, and practical approaches in pharmacy practice.
