Objective: The Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology organizes a series of technical talks featuring renowned experts to foster technological excellence and industry-academia collaboration. As part of this initiative, MUIT Tech Talks (Series 2024-25) commenced on March 24, 2025, with a focus on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), designed to enhance students' understanding of cutting-edge advancements, the event serves as a platform for innovation, research, and discussions on AI-driven challenges, opportunities, and real-world applications shaping the future of technology.

Participating Students: B. Tech, BCA and MCA students.

Event Details: The event featured an insightful lecture by Prof. Arunabha Mukhopadhyay (Professor in Information Technology & Systems, IIM Lucknow) focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a catalyst for business transformation and future advancements. The session explored how AI is reshaping business houses by driving automation, enhancing decision-making, and optimizing operations across various industries. Key discussions revolved around AI’s role in data-driven strategies, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation, which are revolutionizing the way organizations operate and compete in global markets.

The session also emphasized the ethical and societal impact of AI-driven transformation, encouraging students to critically analyze challenges such as bias in AI algorithms, data privacy, and workforce disruption. Prof. Mukhopadhyay highlighted how AI is shaping the future of industries through advancements in generative AI, intelligent automation, and personalized user experiences.

The interactive format encouraged students to ask insightful questions, deepening their understanding of AI’s impact on business evolution. B. Tech and M. Tech students actively participated in discussions on AI integration, data management, and emerging business models driven by artificial intelligence. By engaging in meaningful conversations, students experienced a dynamic and impactful learning environment. The event successfully bridged industry and academia, inspiring participants to explore AI-driven innovations and their transformative role in the future of business and technology.

Students’ feedback: Students found the session highly engaging and insightful, appreciating Prof. Arunabha Mukhopadhyay’s practical approach to explaining AI concepts and their real-world applications. They valued the discussion on AI’s role in profit-driven markets, particularly its impact on business strategies, data management, and algorithmic advancements.

Overall, students expressed enthusiasm for further exploration of AI-driven technologies, emphasizing the session’s role in sparking curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper interest in research and innovation.
