16 Days Workshop on “Tech-Boost: Tally, GST, AI and MS Office”

Objective:

The primary objective of "Tech-Boost” was to enhance students' technological capabilities, thereby improving their academic performance and career prospects. The workshop sought to empower students with the skills necessary to adapt to the evolving demands of the digital economy and increase their employability in a competitive job market. This was achieved through a curriculum carefully designed to cover industry-relevant tools and techniques.

Participating Students: Students of MBA, BBA, and B. Com.

Event Details:

The "Tech-Boost" workshop was held from April 1st to April 16th, 2025, at MUIT Lucknow. Mr. Harshit Verma from Vision Tech Education, Lucknow, led the sessions for BBA, B.Com, and MBA students. The workshop content was structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of the following: Tally, a widely used accounting software for financial management, was covered in detail, enabling students to understand its applications in real-world accounting scenarios.

The workshop also provided in-depth training on GST (Goods and Services Tax), including the software and processes involved in GST compliance, a crucial aspect of modern business operations in India. Participants also mastered Advanced Excel techniques, including data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting, enhancing their ability to interpret and present data effectively.

Furthermore, the workshop included an introduction to AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools, exploring fundamental AI concepts and demonstrating practical applications relevant to business and management. Finally, students refined their presentation skills and improved overall productivity through training in MS Office, with a particular focus on PowerPoint and other essential applications. The workshop employed interactive sessions, combining theoretical explanations with practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises, ensuring that students could effectively apply their newly acquired knowledge.

Each day of the workshop began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, welcome note by Dean, Dr Sandhya Sinha, and concluded with a closing remark by DSW, Dr Sapan Asthana and heartfelt vote of thanks by Deputy Dean, Dr Pawan Kumar Verma. This journey  was an enriching amalgam of soft skills training, hands-on experience, and impactful technical sessions. Students actively participated throughout the sessions, asking questions, sharing insights, and collaborating on solutions.

Student feedback for the "Tech-Boost" workshop was overwhelmingly positive. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the workshop content, the speaker's expertise, and the emphasis on practical application. Students particularly valued the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software, noting the direct relevance of these skills to their academic pursuits and future career paths. The positive feedback from the students and the workshop's success in achieving its objectives reinforce MSOBM's commitment to providing industry-relevant and skill-oriented education.
