Industrial Visit to C. P. Milk and Food Pvt. Ltd. Kursi Road, Lucknow (GYAN)

Objective:
On April 12, 2025, 26 BBA students from the Maharishi School of Business Management, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow, undertook an educational industrial visit to C P Milk and Food Pvt Ltd., Lucknow, under the guidance of faculty coordinator Dr Praveen Joshi.
The visit commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Arichit, the HR Head and visit coordinator. In an introductory classroom session, Mr. Arichit briefed the students on the history and evolution of CP Milk, outlining the company’s journey, core values, and operations. He also detailed the end-to-end process involved in the production, packaging, and distribution of dairy products. During this session, students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in meaningful dialogue, helping them gain clarity and deeper understanding.

Visit Details:
Following the briefing, the students were taken on a guided tour of the production plant, where they observed live operations. Mr. Arichit one of the senior officials, provided a detailed walkthrough of the production process—beginning with the procurement of fresh milk from local dairy farmers. He explained the various quality checks conducted at the plant, such as testing for fat and protein content, as well as for microbial contamination, to ensure that only high-quality milk is processed.
Students witnessed the pasteurization process, where milk is heated to eliminate harmful bacteria, followed by homogenization to achieve a consistent texture and fat distribution. They then visited the production floor, observing the manufacturing of a range of dairy products including milk, curd, butter, ghee. The students were particularly impressed by the automated packaging systems, designed to ensure both hygiene and efficiency.
Throughout the tour, the emphasis on stringent quality control measures was evident—from the inspection of raw materials to the final packaging of finished goods. Students also learned about the importance of sanitization and hygiene practices at every stage of production, which are critical in maintaining product safety and compliance with industry standards.
Mr. Archit also shared the company’s commitment to sustainable practices, highlighting their efforts in waste management and energy conservation.
The visit concluded with a focused session on Gyan’s supply chain and distribution network, during which Gyan coordinators elaborated on the company’s cold chain logistics that preserve product freshness and quality during transit. The role of technology in streamlining operations and enhancing overall efficiency was also emphasized.
The session wrapped up with a lively and informative Q&A session, featuring the plant manager, production supervisor, and quality control experts. Students actively engaged in discussions around industry challenges, technological advancements, and career opportunities in the dairy manufacturing sector.

The students shared highly positive feedback about the industrial visit, appreciating the opportunity to witness the operations of the dairy industry firsthand — from milk procurement to product distribution. They found the interactive explanations and live demonstration of the production processes particularly enriching. The emphasis on quality control, hygiene, and sustainability stood out as especially insightful and relevant to their academic learning.
