“Olympic Day- 2025”

Organised by: Sports Committee (MUIT Lucknow Campus) in Association with IQAC
Objective: Under the guidance of UGC, Maharishi University of Information Technology Lucknow, enthusiastically celebrated "Olympic Day - 2025" on June 23, 2025. The event, meticulously organized by the Sports Committee in collaboration with IQAC, aimed to champion the core Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship, and Respect, thereby fostering a robust spirit of sportsmanship among the university's students, faculty, and staff.
Participation: Over 100 enthusiastic participants actively engaged in Quiz & Badminton competition, demonstrating impressive knowledge and keen interest.
Event Details: The celebratory proceedings commenced with an inspiring address from the Dean Academics (MUIT Lucknow Campus), Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Jain. In her motivational speech, she underscored the profound significance of sports in character building, urging students to embrace teamwork, perseverance, and to strive for excellence both on and off the field. Her words set an energetic and encouraging tone for the entire day's activities. Highlighted the intrinsic link between sports and academic growth, encouraging students to pursue a balanced approach to physical activity and intellectual development for holistic well-being. The occasion was further graced by the insightful contributions of other distinguished dignitaries. Dr. Vikas Kumar Shukla, Dean Student Welfare, emphasized the paramount importance of unity and fair play, inspiring all participants to uphold integrity and respect their peers throughout the competitions. The Sports Convener lauded the students' remarkable enthusiasm, advocating for active participation and reiterating the committee's unwavering commitment to nurturing sporting talent at MUIT through continuous support for future events.
The day was packed with excitement, featuring both a stimulating Quiz competition and engaging Badminton matches. The Badminton tournament, in particular, highlighted exceptional skill and a strong competitive spirit among all participants. In the Boys' Badminton category, Luve Barad (B.Sc. IV, Physics, MSOSH) secured first place, followed by Nitikesh Kumar Pandey (Diploma IV, Civil Eng, MSOET) in second, and Abhinav Tripathi (BCA, MSOET) in third. For the Girls' Badminton tournament, Prachi Yadav (B. Pharma II, MSOPS) took home first place, with Nazish Anzum (B. Pharma II, MSOPS) earning second, and Shruti Gupta (B. Pharma II, MSOPS) finishing third. The "Olympic Day - 2025" celebration concluded successfully, leaving behind a profound sense of unity and excitement, and setting a vibrant precedent for all future sports activities at Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow.
Participants’ feedback: The event was highly engaging and well-organized. Participants appreciated the inspiring speeches, vibrant atmosphere, and emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship. "The university badminton tournament was a fantastic experience! They really enjoyed the competitive atmosphere and the chance to play against different participants of the university.
