Objective and Description

B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering is an undergraduate academic and professional program. It is basically a four years (8 semesters) program with multi-exit and –entry options. The program curriculum has been designed accordingly based on the FYUP credit framework as per NEP 2020. The curriculum gives more emphasis on skill based learning along value based and ability enhancement courses for holistic development and job readiness. Apart from theoretical and laboratory-based learning, pedagogical schemes emphasize project-based learning which provides a wider exposure to real problems and their solutions. With the broad job scope, these programmes are great for career building in the area of interest as the program curriculum prepares the students for a variety of fields and industries by equipping them with range of necessary skills.

  • Eligibility Criteria :
    1. Regular/Evening/ Part time: 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ IT/ Biology/ Informatics practices / Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship (Any of the three) with min 45% marks for General/OBC/PH/EWS and 40% for SC/ST
    2. b) Lateral entry: (i) Diploma with min 45% marks for General/OBC/PH/EWS and 40% for SC/ST (ii) B.Sc Degree from recognized University
