B.Sc. (Agriculture)
B.Sc. (Agriculture) is a 4 year Bachelor degree programme. The overall aim of this programme is to train students to understand and improve agriculture productivity. The programme includes theory and practical spread over eight semesters. The course also includes visits and lays a great emphasis on hands-on experience in the laboratories and fields within and outside the university in rural areas and industries. The programme aims to familiarize the students with various facets of agriculture through subject like Horticulture, Genetics, Agronomy, Animal husbandry, Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Economics and agricultural Extension, etc. This degree program enables the students to go for advanced studies, fundamental and applied research, food industry and also become an entrepreneur.
