NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY-2021

The National Science Dayis celebrated each year on 28th
February to commemorate
the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian physicist Sir C.
V. Raman on 28 February 1928.National
science day-2021 was
celebrated by the Maharishi School of Science at MUIT, Lucknow, on the theme of
“Future of STI: Impact on Educations, Skill and work”.
On this occasion, various dignitaries and officials of MUIT,
like Registrar, Dy. Registrar, COE, Dean-Academics, Deans/HoDs of all Schools and
Incharge-MIIF were present. It was well attended by the students and faculty
members of all the Schools besides those of theMaharishi School of Science.
Based on the theme, a Poster Competition, Quiz competition and Debate was
organized which was open for the students of all the Schools. Separate juries
were formulated for these competitions. The students of all the schools
participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
The celebration started with Pooja and Lamp lighting by
various dignitaries present on the occasion, followed by floral and welcome speech
by event Convener, Ms. HimaniKulshreshtha. The gathering was addressed byHon’ble
Registrar, Dy. Registrar, and Dean, Academics apprising them about the significance
of the day and instilling inspiration for innovation and scientific progression.The
dignitaries visited the posters displayed by the students and appreciated their
efforts which was highly encouraging for the students. The awards were
presented by the dignitaries to best entries in all categories. Three awards were given for each of the three
events and a ‘Certificate of Participation’ to all the participants. At the
end, a Vote of Thanks was presented by the Dean of Maharishi School of Science,
Dr. Ramakant. The event concluded with the National Anthem after which
refreshments were served to all the attendees. The event was very well coordinated
by all the faculty members and student volunteers of Maharishi School of Science.
