The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a vibrant youth program operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Launched in 1969, the centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, the NSS is dedicated to developing students' personalities through active involvement in community service. The core philosophy of NSS is rooted in the belief that the best way to learn and grow is by serving others.
We encourage all MUIT students to actively participate in the National Service Scheme. It is an invaluable opportunity to contribute to society, develop essential life skills, and become responsible and engaged citizens. Contact our NSS coordinators to learn more about ongoing projects and how you can become a part of this impactful initiative.
Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT) is deeply committed to fostering not only academic excellence but also a strong sense of social responsibility among its students. In line with this ethos, the University actively engages students through the National Service Scheme (NSS). The NSS at MUIT serves as a dynamic platform for students to actively contribute to the development of humanity and the welfare of society. By engaging in various community-oriented projects and initiatives, our students gain firsthand experience in addressing social issues and making a tangible difference in the lives of others. We believe that this engagement is crucial in nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also profoundly aware of their social responsibilities. Through the NSS, MUIT offers students opportunities to identify and develop their talents. This process enables them to create applicable knowledge and innovative solutions that can directly support social and economic advancement within communities. Our NSS units act as catalysts for positive change, fostering a spirit of collaboration and problem-solving among students and community members alike.
