PROGRAM OUTCOMES Pharmaceutical Sciences

Programme Outcomes (POs) The following Program Outcomes (POs) are defined for B. Pharm in line with the accreditation bodies:

  • PO1. Pharmacy Knowledge: Possess an understanding of the fundamental concepts and knowledge related to the field of pharmacy, including manufacturing procedures, biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, behavioral, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences.
  • PO2. Technical Skills: Become proficient in using a variety of tools and equipment while gaining a thorough understanding of the corresponding standard operating procedures.
  • PO3. Research and Development: To exhibit understanding of problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and rationality in various branches of pharmaceutical sciences and technology.
  • PO4. Communication: Give and receive clear directions, provide drug information, and effectively communicate about health care activities with the medical community and the general public.
  • PO5. The Pharmacist and Society: Apply thinking that is guided by contextual information to read medical prescriptions, provide patient counselling, evaluate drug safety concerns, and conduct other tasks necessary for the practice of professional pharmacy.
  • PO6. Ethics: Observe the code of ethics and commit to the professional obligations, values, and standards of pharmacy practice. When making judgements, keep ethical standards in mind and accept responsibility for the results.
