Symposium on “Green Hydrogen”

On 3rd April 2023, Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology organized a one-day symposium on Green Hydrogen (Online Mode), aimed at raising awareness about the importance of renewable energy sources in today's world. The symposium began with welcome of delegates and dignitaries by the host Dr. Neeraj Jain (Professor, Maharishi School of Science) followed by seeking blessings of Maa Saraswati, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi followed by lamp-lighting through virtual mode. Then Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Prof. B.P. Singh) gave a welcome address, followed by brief about objectives of symposium by Dr. Kalyan Acharjya (Dean, MSOET) and words of blessings from Hon’ble Chancellor (Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava), who is a great proponent of green and sustainable energy and the symposium was organised on his behest. Then the knowledge sessions followed with the talks of invited Speakers focused on the basics of green hydrogen, its production technologies, and its impact on environment & economy.

  2. Mishma S Stanislaus, Research Scientist (Green Hydrogen), IISc Bangalore
  3. B. Satya Sekhar, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Jammu

Dr. Sreedevi Upadhyayula talked about “Role of Hydrogen in Future Economy (Carbon Dioxide Capture and Hydrogen Economy)”, while Dr. Mishma S Stanislaus delivered a lecture on “Green Hdrogen from Biomass” and Dr. B. Satya Sekhar talked on “Green Hydrogen-the energy of the future essential for decarboization”. The talks were very insightful and interesting. Each of the talks were followed by a Q & A session where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and were very patiently answered by the Speakers..

 

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Vijay Srivastava (Dy. Dean Academics, Lucknow campus).

The event provided an excellent platform for participants to learn about the latest developments in green hydrogen. We hope that the symposium inspired many participants to take up careers in the field of green hydrogen and contribute to a sustainable future.

Overall, the one-day symposium on Green Hydrogen organized by Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology was a grand success with very insightful talks and over 140 participants attending the event from various parts of the country. It was organised successfully by the Convener Dr. Kalyan Acharjya (Dean, MSOET) and his team under the guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor (Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava) and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Prof. B.P. Singh).
